Activities at Luilekker

Go for hikes along the Elands River that flows through the property, or rent fishing tackle in the village and try your hand at fly fishing along our stretch of river.

Enjoy bird watching or challenging rock climbs up the majestic cliffs in close proximity to Luilekker. Take an energetic hike up the mountain on the estate or simply lounge around the pool, watching the mist roll in over the mountains while savouring the pristine country air and sipping a glass of pure, fresh water from our very own fountain.

The Elands River Valley is one of the most beautiful parts of South Africa and Luilekker is centrally situated for scenic day trips to must-do destinations such as the Kruger National Park, Kaapschehoop (wild horses, breathtaking views and pancakes to die for); the famous Sudwala Caves, Sabie (waterfalls), Grasskop (experience God's Window) and seeped-in-history Pilgrim's Rest.

We're also very close to some of the ancient ruins that researchers are currently so excited about, as they are believed to be the oldest man-made structures on earth.
